Research
and Development
Electrical
Systems Specialists, LLC is dedicated to providing state of
the
art replacement starters, alternators and generators. Our target
market is the heavy-duty, industrial and agricultural unit purchaser.
This huge secondary market is currently being serviced by the makers
of OE electrical units. Our mission is to supply
very
high quality products that fit these OE applications, while at
the same time providing our customers with a price and service
more
competitive than OE.
ESS
accomplishes this task in a number of important ways.
- Sourcing
All
products provided through the ESS program are sold outright with
no core charges attached. The vast majority (over 95%) of our
units are manufactured as brand new.
- Quality
control
All manufacturing partners selected by ESS are certified
as either ISO-9001 or QS-9002 producers. This certification assures
our customers of uniformly made products. Only those certified
are considered as potential suppliers. In many instances our overseas
suppliers also make units for OE consumption.
- Warranty
All
ESS units are warranted according to Original Equipment guidelines
based on unit application and usage. A detailed description of
our warranty program can be found in the ESS
Policy section.
- Application
development
ESS has a policy of bringing hard to find applications
to the market. Our aftermarket line features units offered only
by OE makers at much higher cost. In many instances our units
provide improvements over the performance of the OE in torque,
amperage output and fit.
- Cataloging
Our
entire catalog is on the ESS website and is updated with new information
and applications on a daily basis. Research into OE interchanges
is ongoing and available to all who use this service. In case
of applications not found on our site, please Contact
ESS for additional technical help. Our staff of field engineers
stands ready to assist you with information as needed.
- Field
engineering
ESS conducts a vigorous program of discovery
relative to new OE applications. All of our customers are encouraged
to inquire about the development of new units for their use. If
there is a specific need on your part, please Contact
ESS with a request for application development. We will be
glad to assist. Development time ranges from 90 to 180 days for
sample delivery, with firm pricing and local warehousing available.
- Product
testing
All units are built to match or exceed the OEM performance
specification of the original motor or alternator. All of our
products are field fit on engines and the machinery on which they
apply. Components are specified to OEM performance levels and
batch sampling of every part number is standard throughout the
line.
- In
many instances we can provide high torque conversions used in
replacing older style direct drive starting motors. This service
is allied with our development efforts, and proposals on conversion
applications can be made within 60 days.
