Frequently Asked Questions about the ESS website
What is the purpose of the ESS site?
Our website was designed to help our customers source hard to find
ag, industrial and heavy-duty starter, alternator and generator
applications.
How does it work?
Customers can find the units they seek by accessing our database
of over 90,000 OEM interchange numbers. They can either use the
OEM number (or partial number) found on the unit, by putting
the name of the piece of equipment in the search box on our home
page or by going to our applications page and naming the maker
of the starter or alternator they need.
Where in the program can I find the unit I seek?
Users of our system can find starters and alternators by using
one of several methods to search our database.
Listed below are the most important of these methods.
1. At the top of our home
page you may type in a keyword or phrase
in the search box. For instance, enter a type of unit (42MT, Delco,
forklift), a kind of machine such as Komatsu, JLG, Freightliner,
Yale, Halla and etc., or the name of a maker of starters or alternators
like Delco, Nikko, Sawafuji, Mitsubishi or others.
2. You may go to the Applications section and select either one
of the makers of units, or progress to the bottom of that page
and use our make and model data format.
3. Your may go to the Product Solutions section and insert an OEM
number found on the electrical unit you are seeking.
All
of the methods described are easy to use. We suggest that you
take some time to explore our website. Once familiar with
the various ways to access information, we are positive the site
will become a source of reference for you on a regular basis.
Do ESS units have a core charge attached to the price?
No! All units are sold outright. While a few of our light duty
units are remanufactured to meet factory specifications, the
vast majority (over 95%) of what we sell is made brand new.
How good are ESS products?
All ESS units are manufactured to either ISO-9000/9001
or QS-9000 certification. No supplier is accepted in our system that cannot
meet these universally accepted measures of quality. In addition,
all units are field tested by our engineers, and any motor or
alternator sold by us has to be made to their liking before resale
to customers.
Does ESS have a printed warranty and return policy?
Yes. Please refer to the policy section of our website for specific
information.
How quickly can ESS ship?
All orders (with the exception of stock orders over 10 pieces)
will ship the same day as received by our inside sales team.
Does ESS sell component parts?
Yes. Refer to our repair parts section for a listing of the type
of repair parts we can quote. Our stock of these items is extensive
and priced competitively.
How long does it take for ESS to respond to an E-mail inquiry?
During regular business hours (8:30am to 5:00pm daily) we guarantee
a reply via the Internet or by phone within 2 hours. If we are
contacted after 3:00pm eastern time we will be on the phone early
the next morning.
